- Motor housing is hot to the touch or emits a burning smell: Unplug immediately. Do not attempt to run the motor again. Mark the column out of service and replace the motor.
- If the motor housing is hot to the touch or emits a burning smell, unplug immediately and escalate to a qualified technician for motor replacement.
