Water Not Heating Diagnostic
This diagnostic traces the hot water system, checking everything from the temperature sensor all the way to the heating element, to determine why the water is failing to reach the required brewing temperature.
Qualified technician handoff: stop before live electrical testing, sealed-system refrigeration work, compressor service, or protected-compartment access unless a qualified technician is handling the work.
- Steam leaking from tank fittings or element seal: Shut off power and water immediately. Do not continue until leak is repaired. Scald hazard.
- Water leaking onto electrical connections: Shut off power. Contain leak. Do not re-energize until leak is fixed and connections are verified dry.
- Due to the high hazard associated with steam and electrical components, any investigation into the heating element or water lines must be performed by a qualified technician.
- If water is leaking onto electrical connections, do not re-energize; this requires a qualified technician to verify all areas are dry and safe.

Location Help
Where to find this
Use this as orientation before touching the machine. It is location help, not a repair instruction.
Start outside the machine at the outlet and cord, then identify the power entry area before any protected-compartment inspection.
- Heats water to brewing temperature and maintains it ready for on-demand beverage production.
- Water tank or boiler
- Heating element
- Thermostat or thermistor
Do not open energized or protected electrical areas unless a qualified technician or licensed electrician is handling the work.
