Isolation of refrigeration control failures when the compressor does not start.
Qualified technician handoff: stop before live electrical testing, sealed-system refrigeration work, compressor service, or protected-compartment access unless a qualified technician is handling the work.
- Compressor buzzing loudly or grinding: Compressor may be mechanically seized. Discontinue power application to prevent damage.
- Oil leak detected around compressor: Refrigerant leak suspected. EPA-regulated repair required.
