  1. 1

    Verify Voltage at Lamp Holder

    operator-intermediatehigh

With the machine unplugged, access the lamp holder. Plug in and measure voltage at the lamp holder contacts when the door is in the closed position. Unplug after measurement.

    Digital Multimeter
    Stop conditions
    • If lamp holder contacts are corroded or heat-damaged, replace holder before installing a new lamp.

Expected: Voltage present at lamp holder contacts when door switch is in closed-door state.

    Evidence to note: meter-reading

  2. 2

Trace Door Switch and Harness Continuity

    operator-intermediatehigh

Unplug machine. Check door switch operation and harness continuity from the controller lighting output to the lamp holder.

    Digital Multimeter
    Stop conditions
    • Door switch physically broken — replace before further testing.
