Qualified technician handoff: stop before live electrical testing, sealed-system refrigeration work, compressor service, or protected-compartment access unless a qualified technician is handling the work.

  • Motor is hot to touch or shows burn marks: Disconnect motor harness immediately. Do not attempt further motor testing. Mark for replacement.
  • If the motor is excessively hot or shows burn marks, immediately disconnect the motor harness and call a qualified technician.
  • If the control signal is present but the motor does not respond, a qualified technician must test the motor's internal resistance.
