Motor Test - All Configured Selections

This procedure tests every motor in the machine through the built-in test mode.

Qualified technician handoff: stop before live electrical testing, sealed-system refrigeration work, compressor service, or protected-compartment access unless a qualified technician is handling the work.

  • More than half the motors fail the full test: Do NOT replace individual motors. Investigate controller and main power distribution first.
  • Burning smell during test: Stop test and remove power immediately.
  • If more than half the motors fail the full test, do not replace individual motors; a qualified technician must investigate the controller and main power distribution.
  • If a burning smell is detected during testing, stop immediately and call a qualified technician.

Location Help

Where to find this

Use this as orientation before touching the machine. It is location help, not a repair instruction.

Main Controller Board

Start at the front door payment column; match the display, keypad, coin, bill, or card device to the symptom before opening deeper panels.

  • Central microprocessor-based board that manages vend logic, motor control, refrigeration cycling, payment communication, and user interface.
  • main logic board
  • firmware chip
  • connector headers

Do not open sealed-system or compressor areas unless a qualified refrigeration technician is handling the work.
